Reiki (pronounced ‘ray-key’) is a Japanese word where ‘rei’ can be translated as ‘universal’ and ‘ki’ means energy, much like the Chinese ‘chi’. As a ‘universal’ life force energy, everyone has it, is made of it, and all have access to it. Reiki is regarded as an ancient technique which was rediscovered by Dr Mikao Usui early last century.
As healing energy work, Reiki functions by using a channel to draw purely positive universal energy into all manner of energy bodies. This could be our human bodies, plants, animals, rocks, minerals, machines, anything in our universe which on a quantum level consists of energy. This means everything ✨ As quantum physics now shows, nothing is matter, only different vibratory levels.
Reiki heals on three main levels; the physical, emotional and energetic layer.
~ REIKI TREATMENTS ~
In Reiki, there are threr main types of treatments;
✨ Whole body treatments consist of a full body healing lasting an hour and half. Ideally, these will be given three times across three consecutive days. They are excellent for mind, body and spirit healing.
✨ Specific treatments are for one or two main areas in which dis-ease is felt, this could be physically or mentally. These treatments are shorter, lasting around 30 minutes. Three consecutive treatments are optimum.
✨ Chakra Healing is a therapy designed to work specifically on your chakra or energy system located along the sushumna, or main spiritual channel (which runs in line with the spine). I recommend three session for this, and each healing will take around 45 minutes. The benefits of this treatment are extensive, and primarily focus on opening each chakra to receive healing, thus allowing energy to flow more freely through all the energy wheels. Notably, this leads to further spiritual evolution alongside myriad physical and emotional benefits.
Treatments are given in person in a calm and safe space. My palms are gently placed on key areas of the healee’s body to channel the purely positive universal life force energy. Or, if it is not possible for you receive treatment in person, I can channel healing across space to anywhere, with the healee ready to receive the energy, known as receptive distance healing.

~ REIKI Levels & Initiations ~
✨ Reiki Initiation is a wonderful choice to empower you to take control of your own health. It also enables the Reiki practitioner to channel healing to others including humans, animals, plants and all matter. As a Reiki Master, I will initiate you by opening your channel in order to receive the universal energy, allowing you to channel to both yourself and others.
– Level 1 Reiki gives the practitioner access to healing themselves and others in person
– Level 2 Reiki opens this up to sending healing across distances
– Level 3 Reiki is to become a Reiki Master with the ability to initiate others

“I decided to have reiki following conventional treatment for invasive lobular, node positive, stage 3 breast cancer. The conventional treatment of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy had left me with many side effects that I was struggling to manage. In particular I was experiencing intense pain at the site of my surgery, muscle pain, peripheral neuropathy, insomnia and high levels of anxiety.
To begin the process Felicity spoke to me in great detail to understand my recent medical history and my needs, both physical and emotional. During this discussion Felicity explained to me how the Reiki channelling would work and what to expect during each session. Felicity then agreed with me, which areas of the body she would focus on and explained that this would be reviewed prior to each session to ensure that the channelling was focused on areas that were of most concern to me. We agreed that initially I would have 3 sessions, 1 per week for 3 weeks.
Prior to each session Felicity would check in with me to make sure I was open and prepared to receive the reiki healing and also to ask if there were particular areas, since our last session, that I would like her to focus on. She also took time to remind me of the best way to receive the reiki and suggested an approach to make sure I remained hydrated and nourished following each session.
Once the channelling began, I discovered that it was quite usual to experience some physical sensations. For me personally, when my eyes were closed, I experienced changes in light that I described as looking at stars in the night sky. I experienced very strong sensations of heat and cooling in various areas of my body and emotionally a great sense of peace and safety.
Each session lasted around 50 minutes and following the session Felicity would let me know which areas she had channelled to, and I would share the sensations I had experienced. Whilst I am very open to the channelling, I have still been amazed at the connection I have felt during channelling and how strongly in accord my experience has been matched with the areas Felicity has been channelling to.
I am so very grateful for the positive impact of the reiki healing I have received from Felicity. On each occasion there has been a noticeable improvement and reduction in the side effects she has been focusing on. The most noticeable has been my sleeping pattern. I was often only sleeping for 1 or 2 hours a night and now I am sleeping for an average of 5-6 hours a night which is in turn helping my overall healing.
